Aluminum Hydroxide has numerous applications and Aluminum plays a major role in our economies of the countries and our lives. We use Aluminum as foils for our packaging as antacid and many other applications. We produce Aluminum salts for various specialty applications.

Catalyst Support

The three grades of Pseudoboehmite under the grade name MCPBL, MCPBM and MCPBH are being produced at our Goa plant. The powders are white in color and free flowing with high purity levels. The soda, iron and silica content are being controlled to a bare minimum level to suit the customer’s needs. This alumina is being currently used as a binder not only in the ceramic industry but it has applications in other fields also. The use of this Alumina in the catalytic field is well known. The application of this Alumina is in the polishing industry also.

Molecular Sieves / Zeolites

Molecular sieves are complex structure of Soda, Alumina and Silica. There are various types of molecular sieves available naturally or they can be produced synthetically. The pore structure or the pore diameter can be monitored by varying the conditions like the temperature, pressure, composition and other related parameters. There are more than one hundred types of molecular sieves available either naturally or they can be produced in a synthetic way. Zeolites have a defined structure because of its crystalline nature. The stability of the product depends on its structure and temperature. The product is not stable if it looses its crystallinity. In other words zeolites structure collapses when it gets calcined at required temperature or if there is increase in the temperature.

Some of the applications for which we manufacture the molecular sieves are Natural Gas drying, Water & Carbon dioxide removal, Sweetening of Natural Gas, Removal of mercaptans from LPG.

Catalysts

 We produce zeolite based catalysts. For various applications viz: Nitration, Oxidation, Chlorination, xylene isomerisation catalyst, FCC additive etc. Production involves high temperature and high pressure reactions.
